To talk about fastening a piece of clothing in general use do sth up, fasten sth; opposite: undo sth.

扣好或系好用do up、fasten,解开用undo:

■ Do your coat up.把你的外套扣上。

■ Yourshiri is umione.你的衬衫未扣好。 There are some special verbs for particular types of fastener.

有一些动词适用于特定扣件：

► buttons: button sth (up); opposite: unbutton sth

纽扣：button (up)(扣上…的纽扣），反义 为unbutton (解#…的纽扣）

► a zip: zip sth up; opposite: unzip sth
